Thanks to its cross-platform interoperability, the same Qt application running on the Windows CE-based device would run with the new OS. This solution is also a good possibility when considering migrating first the device to Windows Embedded Compact 7, and later on to another OS, as the Qt-based application will be compatible with all the different OS technologies.
